Join APA Texas Southwest Section for an interactive CHARM Workshop exploring workforce housing and scenario planning in New Braunfels!
Community Health And Resource Management (CHARM) is an interactive mapping tool that enables everyday citizens and local officials to create dynamic planning scenarios and understand their impacts. Since 2015, Texas Community Watershed Partners through Texas A&M Agrilife Extension has brought the CHARM approach of technology, facilitation, and education to communities across Texas through county-based Resiliency Workshops.
The CHARM platform includes 20+ mapping layers, 10+ interactive assumptions, 24 land use “paints”, and 250+ indicators, making it a powerful resource for communities grappling with the implications of land use and planning decisions on housing, open space, and community risk. In this workshop participants will use CHARM to explore different infill and workforce housing scenarios in the city of New Braunfels.
