Courses range from multi-hour virtual trainings to multi-day, lab-based courses led by an instructor. Courses are scheduled year-round and posted here when available.
CHARM School for Facilitators
Facilitating interactive mapping workshops | 2 DAYS
In-person training for people who want to host and facilitate a CHARM workshop. This course covers the basics of the interface, explores the data within the platform, then focuses on selected interactive exercises in the CHARM template. Skills for facilitating effective dialogue and generating productive outcomes will also be covered.

CHARM School for GIS
Intro to building CHARM exercises | 2½ DAYS
Lab-based training for GIS staff and planners who work in GIS. This course covers the design and development of CHARM exercises, which allow participants to explore data and planning issues in detail. Students will learn to utilize a suite of functions to create interactive mapping visualizations and charts. By providing step-by-step guidance, each student is led to create and build their own CHARM exercises.
